Construction Field Review and Testing

Reviewing construction for conformance to drawings and specifications is a key component in achieving a high quality product for the end user.

We conduct regular, thorough review of the construction of the building enclosure. We document and track our observations and deficiencies in a database for easy follow-up and tracking. We also regularly perform various on-site testing in our quality assurance role, including water penetration testing of glazing assemblies, adhesion testing, membrane thickness testing, etc.

In addition, RDH has in-house capabilities to perform:

  • Sealant adhesion testing.
  • Traffic coating adhesion and thickness measurements.
  • Waterproofing adhesion and thickness measurements.
  • Smoke testing to trace air leakage paths.
  • Temperature and RH monitoring and data collection.
  • Frost point testing to predict remaining useful life of sealed insulating glass units.
  • Surface temperature measurement.
  • Thermographic scans.

"The building just sparkles even on a cloudy, overcast winters’ day.... At least once or twice a week one of us walks around the building to look at it – it just looks great.  Thanks to everyone who worked on the building.”
