Reviewing construction for conformance to drawings and specifications is a key component in achieving a high quality product for the end user.
We conduct regular, thorough review of the construction of the building enclosure. We document and track our observations and deficiencies in a database for easy follow-up and tracking. We also regularly perform various on-site testing in our quality assurance role, including water penetration testing of glazing assemblies, adhesion testing, membrane thickness testing, etc.
In addition, RDH has in-house capabilities to perform:
- Sealant adhesion testing.
- Traffic coating adhesion and thickness measurements.
- Waterproofing adhesion and thickness measurements.
- Smoke testing to trace air leakage paths.
- Temperature and RH monitoring and data collection.
- Frost point testing to predict remaining useful life of sealed insulating glass units.
- Surface temperature measurement.
- Thermographic scans.
"The building just sparkles even on a cloudy, overcast winters’ day.... At least once or twice a week one of us walks around the building to look at it – it just looks great. Thanks to everyone who worked on the building.”
