The process of dealing with a moisture-damaged building is challenging both from a technical and process perspective. For example, the buildings usually remain occupied throughout construction, and there are usually many conditions on the building that cannot be identified and addressed until the building is partially dismantled.
The Owner-Property Manager Guide and Consultant's Guide both address the full process from recognizing the initial symptoms of potential problems, condition assessment phase, design development phase, preparing of construction documents, construction phase to the maintenance and renewals planning.
This project was led and primarily authored by RDH. All of the larger consulting firms in British Columbia were part of the project team.
