- Bravern III and IV are high-rise concrete structures containing condominiums.
- In 2007, RDH was retained by architecture firm NBBJ during the design phase to provide design review services for walls, windows, roofs, decks, and balconies.
- RDH worked with the architect, contractor, and glazing subcontractor to resolve the details, including incorporating them in a full-scale mock-up test in Miami, FL.
- The project included complex interface details where curtain wall, precast panels, and decks/balcony intersected.
- The buildings featured unitized curtain walls by Yuanda and traditional precast panels with dual sealant joints.
- RDH also provided field review services during construction documenting the installation of the curtain wall, balconies and deck waterproofing, roofing, and exterior sealants. RDH also reviewed sealant and waterproofing adhesion testing and on-site curtain wall water penetration resistance testing. RDH’s site visit reporting database made it possible to track all deficiencies noted during construction for the contractor to resolve.
