Strata Plan NW 3341
2000
  • Number of Suites: 85
  • Number of Storeys: 3
  • Use/Occupancy: Residential
  • Strapped cavity rainscreen walls with stucco cladding.

  • RDH was retained to undertake the comprehensive rehabilitation of this wood frame building.
  • This complex was the subject of the first leaky condominium litigation in BC. The litigation addressed some of the significant questions regarding leaky condominium buildings. The reliance on state-of-the-art argument as a defense regarding design and construction inadequacies, the question of reasonable maintenance, and lack of maintenance instructions are key issues decided in this case that have been relied upon in subsequent litigation efforts.
  • RDH was the key experts retained by plaintiff’s council and the owners recovered the full cost of the rehabilitation work.
