  • Located in downtown Seattle, Aspira is a new high-rise residential tower (with some commercial units on the ground level) clad primarily with unitized curtain wall manufactured by Walters & Wolf. Other aspects of the building enclosure include metal panel-clad wall areas, a 6th-floor terrace, unit balconies with glazed rails, and the tower roof.
  • In 2008, RDH was retained by the architect to review the design of the building enclosure including the curtain wall, cladding, decks, roofs, and balconies.
  • RDH was also retained by the developer to review curtain wall shop drawings, submittals, and conduct field review of the building enclosure assemblies during construction. This included quality assurance field water testing of the curtain wall and balcony doors.
  • As part of our field review services, RDH provided the letter of certification that the building enclosure construction was in substantial compliance with the design documents, satisfying the requirements of RCW 64.55.
