Rehabilitation of moisture-damaged wood frame buildings involves several steps from removal of the cladding, repair of wood decay, through to the installation of new wall assembly components. It is common to improve the performance of the wall assembly by changing some key components to create a rainscreen or strapped cavity assembly as part of the reconstruction. In many projects, it is also prudent to replace poorly performing windows.
