The rehabilitation of a balcony to wall interface at a location where water has penetrated to the sheathing and framing resulting in wood decay is illustrated. Often the rehabilitated detail appears very similar to the original detail from the exterior. This build sequence therefore helps owners understand the changes in technology that will result in a much more durable detail.
