Peer Recognition
Award recognizes RDH's expertise and contribution.

The Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) has recognized RDH's contribution to the profession and the community by presenting Dave Ricketts with the “2001 Professional Service Award”.

Quoting from APEGBC's award presentation:

During BC's leaky condo crisis, the engineering profession relied heavily on the insight and direction provided by David Ricketts, one of Canada's leading experts in building envelope technology. Over the past 20 years, he has led some landmark policy and research related initiatives and has been instrumental in establishing building restoration guides for consultants, property managers and owners. His expertise has been called upon to design new structures, restore historic buildings and repair those suffering from premature envelope failures. David's advice was key to the final recommendations of the Barrett Commissions that investigated BC's leaky condo crisis. He has been a stellar ambassador for the engineering profession, helped spearhead the Building Envelope Professional accreditation program, and continues to play a key role in numerous professional and technical groups that continue to grapple with building envelope issues.
